I’ve been using the release cores for a long time now, and they’re outstanding. Definitely, my browser of choice!

Updates

After a long time without time, I’ve finally managed to update my Wordpress installation and theme. It’s now using the latest 2.5.1 and, I think, it looks neat:)

Also, after testing my SSH keys, I’ve found out that they were vulnerable due to a patch in Debian, which made the random number generator guesseable. If you’re running a ssh-server, in a Debian-based distribution, you should test if your keys are compromised.

Skype with Video for Linux

A few months ago, the Skype team released a beta version for Linux with video capacities! This was the most lacking feature for us, Skype and Linux users.

If, like me, you’ve been waiting for this, go on, download the proper package for your distribution and have some fun :D

Coding for Students

Do you love open source? Would you like to learn how to program? Are you a student who’s not yet reached university? Are you aged 13 or above?

This is for you!

Google’s Higly Open Participation Contest will bring together young developers and open-source. They’ve gathered some great projects, like Apache, GNOME, Python, and many other, that will now give to the contestants several type of assignments, like writing code or documentation and patching bugs.

At the conclusion of the contest, contestants will receive a t-shirt and certificate for completing at least one task and 100 USD for every three tasks completed (maximum 500 USD per contestant).

Still waiting?

Blog updated and restructured

I’m now using the latest wordpress 2.3. Despites the not so friendly installation, everything is now up and running, and I’ve even managed to use the time on it to restruture my theme. The lack of time was keeping me with the previous ugly one. Now I like the looks of my blog.

Note to self: tag old posts.

Question: How can I tag my posts automatically with the categories associated to them?
