Ipod 6th Generation

Apple has done it again! The IPod family has been restructured and the brand new IPod touch, similar to the IPhone but without the phone, has joined the family.

I’ve been wishing to buy one for a long time, I think that the new nano will take my money, probably being a gift for myself this coming Christmas :D

Google’s Phone

Rumors about the so mighty to come Google’s Phone are always on the news!

This time, something more specific has came out. Wired is saying that the Google Phone will be Linux powered, have GPS and it will be really cheap, being more close to the $100 OLPC than the $500 IPhone. Really good news, mainly for European clients, where Apple is taking so long to sell their IPhone.

OpenMoko is shipping

Openmoko is ready for shipping.

The price for the GNU/Linux cellphone was set at $300. It has some awesome features, and it will be, for sure, able to face the Apple’s IPhone!

So, what are you waiting for? Go order yours in here!

The iPhone Hype

Ohh, please, take my money, I just want one of those hats!

According to Onion.

La Fontenna for just $/€ 2

So, I’ve just received an email telling me that the FON community has just passed the 400 000 users. As a fonero, this is great news!

Furthermore, they are now selling their Fontenna for 2$/€ plus the shipping costs.

If you want to, feel free to order one, use my Promotion Code: A083804057403974

Update: It is possible that the promotion code can not be used more than once! I’ve not used it, but I can not guarantee that it is still usable.

Fon adopts Ubuntu

The following memo was sent from Fon’s founder and CEO, Martin Varsavsky, to his staff:

Dear All:

As of today Fon will disengage from Microsoft and adopt Linux in the Ubuntu form as our operating system of choice.

I would like to ask all Foneros to pls migrate to Ubuntu at your earliest convenience. As of next week Fon will not buy any more Microsoft licenses, nor install, service any new Microsoft programs on any existing computers. All the software we use will be Open Source unless a certain package we need is not easily available in Open Source format.

The whole letter can be read in here. It is always good to see Ubuntu being adopted over Windows. Nice choice FON!

Update: The last link was broken, it is already corrected, my mistake :|
