06Dec Codebits 2009
02Dec SAPO Codebits
Tomorrow I’ll be heading to Lisbon, attending Codebits, a 3 day conference organized by SAPO. Despite the late inscription, I’ve been accepted and since this is my first year attending, I’m really looking forward to it. The place is looking great, ready to accommodate 3 days of hacking by 600 attendees. You can check the calendar here.
I already have my idea and team for the programming contest, let’s see how it works out for us.
See you there?
28Oct Google Gears in Ubuntu
Finally, Gears is available for all 64bit users out there in Ubuntu.
If you’re already using karmic, just do:
sudo apt-get install gears
You’re good to go!
14May Angels & Demons
Just watched Angels & Demons.
The story is still very similar to the book, Dan Brown’s masterpiece, which I’ve also read and loved. The soundtrack scores high points in creating a suspense environment. Well, no spoilers here, just try it yourself.
A must watch for everyone.

Angels & Demons
27Mar Ubuntu 9.04 Beta
I’ve been using jaunty for a couple of weeks now, and, despites the issue with ati cards, I thinks that there’s a really good Ubuntu release coming out! But, the beta is out, go on, download, test and enjoy it yourself!
21Mar Jason Mraz
After being really busy in the last months, I’ve finally got some time to myself and bought tickets for Jason Mraz at Coliseu do Porto.
It was awesome! It started with two supporting bands, but the sound was really lousy, despites that, the music was nice. I admit that I was really surprised when Jason came out, the sound was way better for them. He played musics from both his latest albums, and even gh I only knew the last one, I was completely thrilled with all the songs.
He’s an hell of a performer, the show is well ght, and everyone had a smile on their faces after the show. For thoses who have have the opportunity to attend one of his concerts, don’t hesitate, it rocks!
Here’s a video of one of the songs I didn’t knew and that amazed me yesterday:
